Jenny received her BA from Lewis University, where she studied psychology. She has been in the medical field for 6 years. Her interest in preventative, natural health is what attracted her to our facility. She supports our mission to focus on the whole health of our clients.

Cynthia LaCognata
Licensed Esthetician (Skin Care Therapist)

Besides Cynthia’s formal education in Behavioral Sciences, she also obtained her Illinois Esthetics License and certificate. After spending enough time in the corporate world, Cynthia decided to continue her education and expand her skill set to include skin care.  Her former business contacts were helpful in establishing a client base. She loves being in the service industry where she can help others to relax and enjoy their treatments.

Patty Janicek
Certified Childbirth Educator, Lactation Consultant

Patti earned her BSN from Loyola University and has been working with mothers and babies for 30 years. She is a labor and delivery nurse, lactation consultant and childbirth educator. Classes are now being offered to provide educational information regarding the birth process and breastfeeding. Patti believes breastfeeding is not only emotionally rewarding, but also provides infants the very best nutritional start in life.

Cathy Hansen
Certified Yoga Instructor

Cathy received her B.S. in nutrition from Benedictine University, and she is a certified Montessori Lower Elementary Teacher. She currently teaches children in five local Montessori schools. She did her training at Yogaworks and Indigo Yoga. She has a passion for helping women connect with their innate wisdom by using yoga as a tool to gain strength, grace, and self discovery.

Maria Putz
Client Service Coordinator

Maria came to work at Antares Institute because she had previously worked with Liz Henley, the director, and was excited to be a pioneer in Liz’s adventure.  Some of Maria’s hobbies include gardening, baking, and cooking. She enjoys working with all of the new women she has met here at Antares Institute, and is very excited to be a part of the Antares family.

Anaya Palay
Licensed Acupuncturist

Anaya is Nationally Board Certified in Acupuncture and has her Masters degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine. She is currently pursuing a Clinical Doctorate in Chinese Medicine. Anaya grew up in a family of physicians and always knew she would devote her life to the health of others. Her primary interests are women’s and children’s health and dermatology. She appreciates the way Chinese Medicine looks at the body-mind complex fundamentally different from the way Western Medicine does.  This allows her to work with her patients in a holistic manner, which is what attracted her to Antares Institute of Integrative Health.
